Haute Couture in the Heart of Paris
Day 1: Shop 'Til You Drop!
I started my trip with some retail therapy at Le Bon Marché, on 24 Rue de Sèvres, the most luxurious department store in Paris. Chanel, Dior, Celine—you name it, I may have splurged on a gorgeous Celine bag (oops!). I also picked up a chic little outfit for my daughter at Petite Sezane.
Later, I met my fabulous Moulin Rouge star friend Allie at Coeur 6 Rue Ravignan for coffee and a catch up—Paris, you’re spoiling me already.
Fashion Week Dreams
Can you say dream come true? This year, I was lucky enough to attend Paris Fashion Week—my first ever! I’ve been working on elevating my style, and there’s no better classroom. I owe a huge thanks to Steven Doan, the celebrity stylist, and Phan Huy, a jaw-droppingly talented Vietnamese designer, for inviting me.
It was a pleasure and a privilege to see the amazing Phan Huys designs in action. Think chic ready to wear outfits, trendy wedding dresses, couture, and 3D accessories. I wanted to wear everything! Best part? I had a perfect viewpoint at the back—ideal for soaking it all in (and grabbing fab content).
Day 2: Girlfriend Time
Day 2 began with a lovely breakfast with my girlfriends at Cordelia Coffee Shop, 14 Rue du Bac, a coffee and flower shop that’s as pretty as it sounds.
We then went to my friend Valerias boutique, Y’AM Capri. She is an amazing designer that you absolutely must check out.
Her sustainable Italian linen and cotton pieces are to die for—especially the beachwear and new mini-me collection! I'm obsessed with the lemon dress!
Later, we toured the Louvre with Liv Tours, and let me tell you, it was next-level with our fabulous guide, Anna.
Before we left we made a pit stop at Angelina’s for their world-famous hot chocolate. Seriously, it’s the richest, most decadent treat you’ll ever sip!
She shared fun facts like Louis XIV’s had about three baths in his lifetime (hence Paris’ love of perfume) and how his red-soled shoes may have even inspired Christian Louboutin's famous heels!
We, of course, visited the smirking Mona Lisa and made a wish at the upside down triangle.
Dining Like Parisian Royalty
For my last night, I dined at Maxim's on 3 Rue Royale—a Parisian institution. This iconic art nouveau restaurant is a feast for the eyes. The space has this vintage Parisian glamor, making it feel like you've stepped into another era. I tried foie gras (duck liver) for the first time. Weird? Maybe. Delicious? Absolutely. The buttery smoothness surprised me, and the filet with truffle potatoes sealed the deal. And the creme brûlée? Perfection. It's not just a restaurant, it’s a full aesthetic experience—chic, sophisticated, and so quintessentially Parisian.
